After fashion design studies in Brussels, Maëlle de la Forge began her career as a theater costume designer. Without any previous jewelry design, she created De la Forge in 2012. Her combination of unexpected materials and unique approach gave a new definition to the meaning of jewelry.
Working in the theater had a huge influence on her creation process. Her sculptural and anatomical jewelry, created for everyday use, was also inspired by her passion for dance, an art form in which the body must remain free to move.
Anatomy, shapes, materials : everything is a pretext for Maëlle to create free and audacious designs.
Her search for new ways to wear jewelry has added originality to her approach: imitation piercings and unexpected shapes give other perspectives to Jewelry.
Maëlle de la Forge invites us to appropriate her creations in order to reveal the uniqueness of the person who wears them.
